Description
A shining Pink Coneflower. A close up macro image of this flowering pink coneflower stands tall swaying in the wind with it's nature bokeh and sunshine shining down on it. The narrow-leaved pink coneflower is a species of the sunflower family.
Coneflowers are both ornamental and a herb. Although, all parts of the plant are edible, the leaves and flower buds are harvested for tea.
Native Americans used this plant to treat a number of aliments such as snake bites, burns, tooth aches, colds amongst the many. The juice of the plant can prevent burns. The root either chewed or in tea can be used for snake bites, spider bites, etc.
